Placing the heater on the ceiling is actually more effective. Why? Nothing blocks infrared rays like furniture. A maximum ceiling height of 2.5m is recommended for the panel range. If your ceiling height exceeds this, we can advise on different ranges.
Ceiling mounting allows the heater to be evenly distributed, creating an even temperature balance throughout the space. The heater will heat the floor and the bed underneath. This is perfect for cold winter days.

Also, the benefit of utilizing the directional properties of IR is that we can put heat where it is needed in any environment. So the reason infrared is more cost-effective to run is because it can heat smaller areas within a space rather than the entire space, like convection-based heating. Our recent church installation is a good example. We placed high powered heaters approximately 3.5 meters above the congregation. This means we don't have to reheat the 10 meters above them.
Also, the previous gas heating system took over 24 hours to raise the temperature of the church and it still wouldn't be as comfortable. The Jigsaw Infrared Heater will begin heating occupants within 5-10 minutes. Therefore, the air temperature in the room reaches 20º within 2 hours. Not bad in a church with 13m high ceilings and a low level of insulation.
